As the students filed in this morning, they noticed the Christmas lights around the board (one of them nearly went into a burnt-toast seizure of glee), and the outline of what we were going to do this morning. One thing we did this morning was watch a video on Rick Hansen for our Terry Fox novel study.

Looking at the Rick Hansen item, a student said, "Is he the guy that made The Muppets?"
You can imagine my response.

This is the same student, weeks ago, when commenting on Martin Luther King in a project, described him as the guy that ended slavery. At least he/she didn't say King rode the bus.
