Paige! You'd be so excited to be here right now. I'm excited! There's something like over 130 events in late Sept. / early Oct., and they're all local food & beverage-related. I liked the sound of the wine and beer and munchies night, but for $40... I wasn't sure. However, whenever I started to look at what some of PEI's best places were offering nightly during the week, and for what prices... it was tough to narrow it down to only a couple of nights out! Well, we made our picks. Our first night will be "Argentina" night at Off Broadway. For $30 each, we get:

Course 1:
Lemon Scented Seared Scallop Martini in Field Greens
Course 2:
Bacon Wrapped Sirloin with Portobello Mushroom and Baby Potatoes
Dessert:
Molten Lava Cake

Our second outing will be at Flex Mussels (never been yet). The girl that took our reservation sounded unfriendly, but hopefully that won't be our experience. For $45 each, we get:

Course 1:
Island Greens: Slow Roasted Beets, Crisp Gouda Lady Cheese Shards, PEI Apple Cider Emulsion
OR
Flex Mussels White Chowder: North Shore Mussels, Roasted Field Corn, Double Smoked Bacon, Fresh Cream

Course 2:
Lobster Pot Pie: Fresh Chunk Lobster, Field Thyme, Carmelized Baby Onions, Celery Root, Heirloom Carrots in an Old School Pastry
OR
35-Day Aged Striploin: Hand-Cut, Dry Rubbed, Montague Blueberry Honey/Moonshine jus
Served with Russet Frites and Warm Turnip Slaw

Course 3:
Trio of Fall Island Squares
OR
Pumpkin Crème Brulee: with local honey candy crust

Wine and Beer Pairing:
Gahan Island IPA
Gahan ‘Sydney Street” Stout
Rossignol Iced Liberty Blossom

Mmm... I'm practically drooling (outside of my mouth) just thinking about it!
